Some of it sounds like direct ripoffs of articles I've written on SOSAKOnline.
Multitools aren't built to solve specific problems; instead they provoke ingenuity.
I said the same thing some time ago, only about SAKs.
You can also see how the writer is not terribly well in tune with multitools, or he wouldn't be lumping in things like the Dale Earnhardt model or some other cheapy type tools, like suggesting that many have drill bits in them. I can't think of any decent quality tool that has a drill bit built in, although I can think of some of the big box store type tools that do.
You can tell when something is trying to be sensational- it's easy to get folks to stand up and pay attention when you reference 9/11. It's a great way to get people's attention and make them listen to whatever point you are trying to make.
I suppose if you know nothing about the topic at all it probably sounds like an interesting article, but for those of us in the know, I think we can all just get a kick out of how much he's really missing from the story!
