I picked up an unused used Sog PPP yesterday for a very good price yesterday :D Its different to the two I used to own . It doesnt seem as shiny , theres no lanyard ring and the best bit is the blade , its not part serrated and its not chisel ground  :D  And is now very very very sharp  >:D

Is this an older model ?

Looks like it might be a special build of the current version, but really hard to tell with 100% certainty.

Looks good!  I've carried mine around a fair bit in the past, nice tool.  Mine has the partially serrated
blade and I swapped my file for a saw but otherwise it looks to be the same as yours.

Looks a lot like the one I bought some 15-20 years ago, though I switched out my file for a seatbelt cutter.  Good tool!

Thanks for the reply . When you say "special build " do you mean at the factory or by the previous owner ?  Doesnt look like its be tampered with in any way , the blade still had the factory edge on it , theres not tell tale marks on the bolts to suggest its been stripped and theres even still grease from the factory around the plier gears although it looks a liitle dryed up now.
I'll try and get some better photos .

The P3 I carry came with a chisel ground CE blade. I exchanged it for a PE blade I bought from SOG. The PE has a conventional grind and gets very sharp.
What? Enablers! Are you serrrrious? Where? I dont see any.
