A message from Ray at Raker Knife & Tool
on: April 24, 2010, 01:00:53 AM
I just got this email, and I thought I'd take a moment and share with everyone here.  As you all know, Ray has been very good to us here at Multitool.org, and I know more than a few of you have been in contact with him at various times.

Quote
I guess you could say that the only reason you are getting this email is that you are either a good friend or customer of mine.  Most of my good customers are also very good friends but don't I don't think you will get two of these if you fit both categories.
The reason for this email is to let you know of some recent developments in the health of my wife, Barbara Sue.  She hadn't been feeling well for several weeks and decided to do some blood work done. This was done on Monday.  Since she has been working with a doctor, no problem.  Problem was the results.  Showed more tests were needed.  Today is Friday and she has been through several CT's and biopsy of the liver.  To make a long story short, my wife has small cell, stage 4 cancer of the lungs and liver.
Our scheduled shop tour is still on for May the 8th  and that is actually the last event that I can plan on with certainty.  This has devastated our whole family and is still very hard for me to accept.  There will be a lot of things that need taken care of and it will require a lot of my time.
If your religious, please keep us in your prayers or send some smoke our way.

Ray, if you read this, know that all of us are pulling for you and yours, and if there's anything I can do to help, well, you know how to get a hold of me.
