SOG Accessories
on: August 08, 2007, 08:29:48 PM
Hi there, I'm new to posting on the site so don't bite!

I'm currently awaiting my SOG Powerlock to come through the post (it seems like its taking ages, I'm so impatient :ahhh). Really looking forward to getting it as I've got multitools from other brands but I've never had an SOG before. I've been looking on the SOG website and seen accessories for it. I was thinking of perhaps getting scissors and an extra blade but I've had a quick look and can't find a place in the UK that sells them.

Just wondered if anyone in the UK knows where I could find SOG parts.

Thanks  :)

Welcome to the forum!

I don't know where in the UK you can get components but maybe someone here will.  We have a few UK members.

Welcome Cryptrick. Is it possible that the PowerLock you are getting already has scissors? (Some do, some don't.)
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

Hi J-Sews. No, the one I'm getting is the S63 EOD. It has the V cutter instead of scissors. I've heard a few good things about the SOG V cutter and liked the look of it so I decided to go for this model.

The trouble is, the tools and accessories over here are much more expensive and harder to find than in the states. Thats why I often buy them on the internet. I'd prefer to go and buy them from a shop as you get it there and then and don't have to wait for delivery but the prices are usually huge. I went up town last weekend and seen the LM charge at £120 ($240)   :(

Both the banner advertisers here on Multitool.org ship overseas- you may want to seriously consider asking either of them about any items you want in the future.  Sure there's the added wait time, but I believe the Charges are around the $100 mark, and that might be worth the wait!

Thanks for that Def. I've bought most of mine from overseas on the internet as they still work out cheaper even with the postage costs. I was just highlighting how expensive they seem to be here. They must be making a hefty profit at £120 each.

Going back to the SOG accessories, I think I will drop SOG an email and see if they have any stockists in the UK. I'll post the details here if they have.

We have a handy fellow from SOG who stops in here from time to time... I'll see if I can get him to drop by and offer some info.

Thanks for that info micky d  :)  I've had a swift reply from SOG and they say the price in dollars on www.sogknives.com is the price I would pay and shipping to UK is $4, which is very good. You can order by email, fax or mail, but not on the web it seems, as you can only select Canada or USA on their website under shipping.
