Sorry folks, I happen to know that Bob has a whole host of 'life' to organise right now so I doubt this is anywhere near the top of his priority list.

Not to upset the MTO gods but I've sent off a disassembled kf4, scissors from a s2 and also the can opener to Syph007 to get BO'd when he sends his batch of SAK parts in. going to leave the scales off (couldn't save them anyways), the skeletonized chassis look neat!!

TKF4S!

Just need to build a jig to assemble it.

Just curiously, what process is used for BO on stainless like that?

BO on stainless requires a cook in a specific salt bath (lye) at a specific temp to apply a coat of regulated rust (BO) :)

Ohhh, syph is sending stuff off to get BOed?!?  Nice. How well does that coating hold up to regular use?  Or is it more suitable for a shelf queen?

No idea, this is a first test for me.  The guy showed me some parts he did 10 yrs ago though, 316 stainless, and they still looked good.  They were small stainless dice I think.  So many people have asked for orange or OD green scales, with BO tools, I have to try to see how they are.  :D

And yep, I have a bunch of Juice parts from Eric (Metro) to get BOd too.

Ah, OK, sounds like a chromium oxide passivization. I'd thought it was a phosphate coating of some sort. Thanks!
