Totally agree Capt.  I've got a client thats a multimillionaire that wears a Timex Ironman. The watch doesn't make the man and never will.  I have always felt people should wear what they enjoy.  If I recall former President Clinton also wore a simple watch.

If manage to have ten spare min in you´re life you can watch, but if you guys have a busy please, don´t! 12H of work i came across things like this! I love watch philosophy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKBHdow9FtM

sadly, I view things like this as a problem to society (or a valid reflection of our society, and that is even more terrifying)

Personally, I do not judge people based on any trivial thing such as a watch, clothes, etc.  I look for knowledge, abilities, and results.

but I also would wear a G-Shock to a business meeting, and feel that the problem does not lie with me being in the meeting with a G-Shock, but rather the problem is in those who judge me based on that fact.

That's wrong totally wrong, you should never judge anyone for there appearance, and when you do it, then you are problem you are the snob!
And wearing expensive things, that doesn't mean you are better then others, that doesnt mean that you have the right to walk on the street with you're head raised, felling that you are the greatest of the greatest! And I see a lot things like this happen every single day!

What a jackass.

You guys basically said what I was thinking.

One thing to add. Guys like this just need a proper ass whooping once in a while.
You're free to express your opinion, but not this way not in a place like YouTube!
And you should see is other videos! Damm!
Recently is being attacking other YouTuber TGV, and being really offensive, and I follow that channel, and that guy, TGV is a pleasure to listen, a gentleman!

But that's just my opinion!

while I do agree that the combination of a nice suit and G-Shock looks odd, why is that a problem? if the person wants to wear that, then why the hell not? for one not everyone can afford a Rolex, Omega, TAG Heuer, some that can would also ask why and what is the point. In a similar fashion one might prefer a Vic over a Chris Reeve.

A nice looking watch can also be a Seiko Samurai and that isn't exactly a high cost watch. It is sad that we live in a world where the book is judged by it's cover (and I could go on a Iliad long rant about that), but a G-shock is still an excellent value for the money and I wouldn't mind getting one or 2 down the road.
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

I completely agree.

In my opinion judging one on material possessions shows me what kind of man he is. People like him make me sick and I feel bad for him he has to go through life with the mindset he has.

I got this one for Christmas the year and really like it. I keep wanting another model one but I'm not to sure which one to get.

(Image removed from quote.)
That was my first G as well :)
The GW-500 is a great watch, but I personally prefer the DW5600 for a beater watch. I've put that thing through more than I thought I would and it's never hiccuped past one nice shiny rub mark on the case resin from a lunge and hard landing on a polished hardwood floor (pickup gym soccer game several years ago, was tending goal)

I got this GD-400 a few weeks ago. I'm used to smaller watches (I've been using a G-5600 for a few years), but I like this one quite a lot for informal use. Some kind of G-Shock bug must have bitten me, because I am already eyeing another one, the olive G-7900-3...  :ahhh

My 7900A. I like the Imperial Stormtrooper look and got it for the tide function which is a fun distraction in the office (and yes I do wear it with a suit)

I have one of those, and the color mix is beautiful.  I would wear it more, but I am spoiled by my Rangeman

Anyone have a recommendation for a gshock around the $100 dollar range? Would like to look nice, dark grey if possible, but would like maybe analog time with digital feathres. Important also would be night time features like glow hands or a functional light.

Does this fit any of their watches? They have so dang many now... Or, does a different brand or model stand out as a recommendation?

I had a gshock in the late 90s and it was built like an absolute tank, I've felt a couple new ones lately and they feel allot lighter (cheaper). I like weight to quality ratio.

Quoted my own post

Just got this guy. I like it. Has good features I like and a couple I wish it had. But overall I'm really happy. Now, back on my wrist, tree branch...

I'm thinking of getting a mudman, the model number is G-9300-1-ER.

They look great. Are they a good watch?

You'll love it.  After wearing a stainless steel watch and strap for the last 20 years this one feels so light even though it's much bigger
