Latest News from SOG:

As of 7:44 this evening, I have been told to expect a call tomorrow to finalize our purchase of SOG Micro ToolClips!

According to our contact there the entire production run has been sold out and he had to pull some strings to make sure we got the total number reserved.

As I understand it, once I finalize(pay for) the order it will take a couple of days for engraving and a few days for shipping.

For those that did not get in on the preorder: A limited number of extra pieces were reserved and will be made available through The Multitool.org Store.

This may be the most eagerly anticipated multitool in recent history. Even bigger than Leatherman's MUT series!(?)

That would make sense. SOG said on the phone that they were a limited run, I thought he meant the old ones were. Apparently they are a collectors piece before they even came out. Very sneaky SOG.

I would send Travis an email or PM ASAP. As far as I know, these have yet to come in, but it should be any day now if they haven't. I have no idea how many of what (4 different colors, and some of each with and without the Multitool.org logo on them) may still be available, but I don't expect these to last long. Whatever is left will be listed in the store once Travis sorts out who gets what first.

The Micro ToolClips have arrived! Due to working overtime, I have only had time to open the box and look at a couple. I will try to snap some pictures while I have the camera out tomorrow.

At first glance the tools look great. I'm not sure if they were worth the wait and confusion, but they might be close.

More importantly, SOG did a wonderful job engraving out logo.

Shipping will begin after the holidays. Once I have the shipping list set aside, I will be listing extras in the MTO Store.

Those look nice. I carried one of the originals years ago when I was in the Air Force. These have the phillips which makes them even better.

How useful do you think the Phillips screwdriver will be? I haven't tried using one, from just handling the Micro ToolClip the least worthwhile part appears to me to be the Phillips driver. Had it been included on the tip of the bottle opener I think I would have liked it better.

It looks like it would be rather awkward to use all right. $:-\$

But then again, as Multitool Rule #1 states, the awkward tool on your belt is far better than the ideal dedicated tool back at home in your toolbox.
