Stop all this talk of motorbikes Don't you know how hard it's been to keep away from them these last few years (I fixed one up a few months back, but never actually rode it, so it doesn't count!)

It doesn't have to be all or nothing. Ride a bicycle 75% of the time, motorcycle 25%. It gives the foot a rest and is still 75% green.(If you'd like, I could tell you why your actions are completely futile, but that would be fairly nilhistic)

Virtually can't kill it. Gets 60 mpg with just a modicum of self restraint. My wife has a Scooter (Genuine is the brand, but I think that's US only--it's a Taiwanese made scoot) 150 cc. Gets 90 mpg, has under seat storage (a little) and can be key or kick started. Total hoot to ride. Good up to about 55 mph. You can get it to ~65, but it takes time and some effort.
All this motorbike talk has me wanting a 95 blade again
While at work I saw an old cycle in a garage, I just stopped to ask what it was. It was a 1966 Honda Dream (See internet pic). I was drooling over how much fun it would be around town. (Image removed from quote.)
I really like the Hexhead GS. Just not the price. The thing I like about DS bikes is when you drop them, replacing plastic is pretty cheap. On a BMW, not so much.Have you seen the new Testatretta Multistrada? Programable suspension, ABS, traction control... (for about the same as a 1200GS)
