Wanted: Morale Patches
on: May 11, 2010, 07:20:12 PM
Anyone got any going spare?

Particularly partial to Milspec Monkey one's :D

At some point I will have to put an order but thought I would throw out a request here  :tu:

ari6126 kindly sent me a green US flag and I have been able to get a 'Zombie Hunter' patch elsewhere. They definitely add to look of any bag  :tu:

But my poor pouches look so bare with no patches

There is actually a bit of history behind that one too.

Quote
The patch was worn by air force troops who participated in the raid on the prison camp in North Vietnam.  The inscription "KITD/FOHS" refers to the fact that the air force support elements were not privy to much of the information about the raid; hence, "kept in the dark/fed only horse smurf."  This statement is also alluded to in the design of a pair of worried eyes peeking out from under a mushroom.

I am drawn to the Lead Farmer patch but with young kids probably not the best  :-\  Maybe for my organiser though  :tu:

How much is shipping from Milspec Dave?

Can't remember for sure but it was ridiculously cheap. About $3 for half a dozen patches or somthing IIRC.

Would a UK buy be an idea?  :tu:

I know Paul was asking a while back and I'm sure there is plenty of naked bags out there.

I'm surprised someone hasn't bought a load in and sold them in the UK

Well, that's the thing - it was as cheap to ship directly to me, Paul or whoever. What would we save in a group buy?

 typing out loud again  :-[

My thinking was order a stack in to one person e.g. me. Then I post out the patches to the relevant people. That would be a first class stamp I'm guessing.

I suppose if shipping is cheap then not much need then.
