EDC Gadgets?
on: October 03, 2006, 07:31:34 AM
Ok, so most of us carry multitools.  What other things can you not leave the house without?

I usually carry a Buck X-tract, Leatherman Micra, Buck MiniBuck Lockback knife, Swiss Utili-key, BSA firestarter, Nuwaii QIII, and a LED mag Solitaire.  in my pockets I usually also have PocketMod, and I always carry a Pilot Mini G2.

I recognize the Buck knife and the multi tools. This is probably a stupid question, but what exactly are all those other devices?   ???
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

The Utili-key is a small key shaped tool from Swiss+Tech that has a bottle opener, screwdriver etc in it, the Nuwaii is a flashlight and the Pilot Mini G2 is a pen.  That's about as far as I go!

The BSA firestarter is a flint and steel setup from Boy Scouts of America.

The PocketMod is a neat little pocket organizer.  www.pocketmod.com

PocketMod is " slick as snot on a door handle "  ( old Polish saying ).

I'll be carrying one of these in my wallet from now on - guaranteed...
Why do I carry a 45 ?
Because they don't make a 46 !

Beautiful snakes man... and a gorgeous gecko.  I've always preferred the Tokays though.  One of these days when I have more space...

Ya to "moron".

One thing I discovered is that these multools don't reproduce themselves unless it out of my own wallet.

Anyone ever tried to breed multitools?...ah ....aw....nope. Not possible. IS it!...................

.................nevermind,, don't go there.

I can already imagine the pics you guys would come up with :-[

This is my key ring - a Streamlight Baton torch with the keys and the plastic gubins is a Res-Q-Me (cuts seatbelt webbing and allows you to break out of a car through the side windows by pressing the black plastic end against the glass).

Those are great little doodads.  I had one a while back but I misplaced it somewhere.  I keep meaning to get a new one.  I imagine I will after a car accident!

How does the black plastic end break the glass? Is it like a spring-loaded center punch?

I believe you are right once again Bob!
Check out their website here: http://www.resqme.com/  And you can see a video of it in action here: http://www.resqme.com/in_action.htm

"ResQMe contains a spring loaded steel point that will break any tempered glass window* and a stainless steel blade for cutting through malfunctioning seatbelts. The break-apart design allows ResQMe to be quickly removed from its storage location in an emergency situation."
