Tomorrow the family will be getting up at 4:45 AM to head to the hospital for Liam to get tubes in his ears. He has had an ear infection every month since he was 7 months old, and it is time to finally do the tube thing. So, we will be driving to Carrollton, GA (where we used to live) to get the procedure done. So, we have an hour and fifteen minute drive with a kid who can't have anything to eat past 12:00 AM and nothing to drink past 5:30 AM. That sucks because he usually has two breakfasts in the morning. So, I guess I am asking for traveling mercies, and prayers for Liam to get through it all. His surgery is at 8:30 AM EDT.

Both of my kids have had tubes in their ears so I totally feel for you. I will keep your family in your prayers.

I had to get that done when I was younger in my right ear. The operation was painless, but a major pain afterwards in trying to prevent water from entering the ear. Best wishes, especially for the trip down.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm not worried so much about the procedure, but ow do you tell a 15 almost 16 month old you can't eat yet. Especially when he has already eaten price by this point on previous days. I guess at a certain point it will be the nurses problem.

Well he's done and we just got home about 30 mins ago. He woke up last night around 11:30 PM and didn't go back to bed until around 2:00 AM. Not only that but the dog has diarrhea, so as soon as I put Liam down I had to clean a massive poop spill, same goes for this morning. SO we are all dragging a little, but Liam is acting like nothing ever happened. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. i knew it wasn't anything to worry about, but anytime anyone goes under its scary.

On a tool and knife related side note.

Knife: Saw a guy cleaning his nails with a Strider SNG in the waiting room. Didn't get a chance to talk to him as were only passing through, but I would have liked to talk to him.

Tool: The Raker Ring Tool is perfect of taking off hospital bracelets.
