I suppose the other thing is why would you cut a screw/nail, i cut bike cables with mine with no problem but wouldnt go any further than that, but then if someone wants to push them then its up to them, iam surprised that LM replace them as it does state abuse i think on there policy,

If Leatherman replace it - its great,if not - its OK.The big point for me is: which multitool SURVIVE in this test/situation.Now I know.Thats it.

Also if I'm  not mistaken the majority of those Surges he didn't actually break, I know he had a few he sent back for defects. From what I remember he broke one, and LM kept sending him defective ones back, so as far as I know this would be the second he actually broke unless I'm remembering it wrong.

I was stand to Swisstool handle (using my foot )to cutting a screws (I think its tempered steel).....(my weight is 247 lb),.........
If you did that to the Surge it's no wonder it broke... It shouldn't be necessary to write "Hands Only" in the user guides.  ;)

Funny looking nail. I have never seen one of those. It does look like a pop rivet at first glance.

Oh well...your tools.  :D
A little Leatherman information.

I see those nails all the time. They are tough smurfs, I can't imagine trying to cut one with a multi.
