Sog wish list
on: June 18, 2010, 06:00:56 PM
Hi all just wanted to see what everyone wished Sog would do to it's products, doing this partly out of curiosity, and partly cuz I'm hoping they will read this and actually do some of them.  :pok:

Post your gripes, grievances, and glorifications

  • Better plier head material, at least for PL and PA don't see the point in giving a tool compound leverage if you aren't willing to take full advantage of it, not that the current ones are bad, and they have actually done everything I've asked them to do  just that they could be better
  • Bring back the serrated line cutter, i carry a serrated blade on my pl and it's great but i only really use it to cut rope, a buddy of mine had an older paratool with one of these and it did the same jobs a hundred time better :o, why is this gone?
  • Bring back small knife blade, probably just a mater of personal preference but i carry a folder, and don't use the PE very often so it would free up a side slot for something else
  • More retail exposure, don't know about everyone else, but other than outdoor/surplus store i have yet to see a single Sog anything in any retail outlet but see Gerbers, SAKs, and Leathermans EVERYWHERE! :twak:

I like the leverage advantage Sog's design gives i guess i just want to be able to cut steel wire on occasion and not have to worry about gnarling the cutter's i usually use dedicated cutters for stuff like that, but there have been a few times where it was all I had and I didn't want to hump back five miles to get some, so i guess something like the multitasker, where it uses tool steel heads, or maybe, inserts for the cutter like what Leatherman, and Gerber are doing now, In short i just want stronger cutter's They're already the best cutter's I just want better one's maybe I'm just a bit more demanding of mi tools than most people.

I want more components to add to my mutant PL and I want a PL with old style locks and new style gear covers.  I know they exist,  but I wish SOG would just make em that way.  I hate the piano locks.

#2 phillips
1/4" bit driver of some sort
make the 1/4" socket driver just a bit beefier and sell the adapter with the tool.
marlin spike/ long pokey type tool
4mm bit driver
chisel

I love SOG multis.  I do wish they had a few more options for swapping out tools.
