I've been thinking about it and I reckon a hammer is a multitool 

Its odd how it changes from week to week
There were quite a few 'footprints' (I got myself a new pair) then as I've been looking out for them for someone I've not seen another pair 

Or the bottle openers I got a few then nothing for weeks till today and everyone had them 

The springs will come in handy with another project I have in mind

They have come in handy already as part of the
wobble damping apparatus on my Spork polishing system

Some of your friends have a deep ath What's that used to measure?

I remember using micrometers a lot a school but these days I have a cheap digital one that's much easier on the eyes and brain

Maybe you can cobble a Multitool together from that collection...a little brazing and Araldite should do it...

Yes I made the spork so I wouldn't be the odd one out at the last UK meet 



Today I picked this interesting old penknife
It looks like there's a 'C' over an 'R' inside a triangle and
TRIANGOIO on the main blade
I'm hoping Neil or someone will tell me something about it 

And this lovely but not loved folding knife and fork

Is that Kuk genuine

I don't know to be honest 
Its 12 and a half inches long
It has a pattern on the blade and the handle (does this mean its not genuine??
The sheath is leather with a wood liner
It does feel nice in my hand and the blade has been sharpened with a grindstone a few times so its been used for work

The kukri is definitely not genuine  I would guess it was from a flea market somewhere in the world  these types are decorative not really for very hard work oh and these cheap ones usually have a lion on the pommel and are not full tang so be careful if using for heavy chopping

The good thing is it was quite cheap, the guy had 4, two were bigger and looked like they were chrome plated or something
This was the best one there 

Ooops some of the patina came off when I polished it 
It has sharpened up quite well with my butchers steel

The tang comes through the pommel and needs a little hammer to tighten it up a bit 
That isn't a very good lion

Get a magnet Tony just to check it's full tang then it would be good for some chopping work,hmm! that lions head looks like it met a hammer in the past
