I spent a little time very lightly cleaning my new little 'woody' block plane (bought on the 28 July)
I cleaned the the beech body with some alcohol hand wipes then oiled using 50/50 linseed/white spirit

It's stamped Foreign which I believe means it was made in Germany after the war

I should spend more time cleaning and sharpening the blade but its a bit cold out in my garage  :ahhh

works well on some nice clean pine  ;)

Hi Bob  :salute:

I have been suffering so did go last Sunday morning  :P was a little chilly (only -1 but cold to me   :) )

Picked up another 'cutlery canteen'  ::)
A battered oldish carpenters tool box (not as nice as it sounds but with lots of paint patina   :) )  with 4 rusty old wood chisels thrown in

Pictures added

I've started work on the chisels

And there should be two draws in the top of the box

Not bad. :) That carpenter's box would make a fun winter's project. Do you have the means to make new drawers from scratch?

I might bodge something up one day when I'm feeling enthusiastic  :)

Today I picked up a tiny 'Perfect patten' screwdriver and an over-sharpened, made in Sheffield Slippy made by BUTLER
It has brass liners and some kind of plastic (I think) scales that are coming away from the liners

Perfect handle screwdrivers  ;)

Some of those Perfect Handle tools fetch a good price on the bay.    :o    I saw some H D Smith Perfect Handle wrenches go for a lot more than I would give for a wrench. But they were in what appeared to be excellent to mint condition.    :)  Some of those screwdriver collectors must have deep pockets cause they really seem to love their screwdrivers.    :D  Anyway I hope you get a good handle on it some day Tony.
What? Enablers! Are you serrrrious? Where? I dont see any.

The problem with these screwdrivers is they are made to take abuse so by the time I get them they have had a battering, will take some time to get them looking good again
(now they are resting in a 'project' box  )

No Multitools but
A file, a few oil/water stones and a wire wheel
Some garden shears
A wood Grenade  (  :ahhh I've wanted one of these since I got to play with Al's)

One more Axe

And a very very heavy toolbox that I think fell off the back of a tank  :D
