TD, Do you mean the white one? The only marking is 'PRADEL' on the main blade, its been attacked with a grinder and the corkscrew is snapped off, was all part of a 'job lot'  ;)

Yep I was very happy with my haul
I paied more than I wanted for the 'RAF escape Axe' and the huge Axe head but the 'roofing hatchet' and Imco lighter were bargains  :D

I also saw a few overpriced BAK's, an overpriced Stanley type multitool and more expencieve rust  ::)

I'm very pleased with that one its a 'Criterion' made by Brades with 353 ? ? ? on the side, weighs 5lbs, 9.5'' / 24cm long with a 5'' / 13cm cutting edge

Now I need to find a big enough stick for it  :D

http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/aviation-history/raf-air-ministry-marked-escape-axe-11010/

If it was rare maybe it would be worth passing it on to a museum but even in that thread people 'picked them up for a fiver/tenner'

As with most war surplus my atidude is it shouldn't be revered but put to service doing plebeian duties and celebrate the fact it no longer has its initial purpose. You can still tell its history to curios onlookers.

I was however just thinking of simple "soak it in vinegar, clean it up and mount it in a humorous BREAK GLASS IN EMERGENCY display case/cabinet "  :D :D
