Is that the type with the popping base? Invert the can and press on the bottom to push out a dose of oil. I think my Dad had one of those

I've got several small bench vises with the jaws replaced with micarta. They are non-marring and quite handy for a lot of things. Hardwood could be used but probably not as durable. Bronze would be very nice if you had some flat stock

I did think I would try wood with leather liners, biggest problem is the four ‘fixing’ bolts are all broken off in the jaws  ::)
They will be a nightmare to get out  :ahhh

Micarta is a good idea  :tu:
