The last 'on grass' carboot for the year here

A bench grinder with a polishing wheel and a wire wheel fitted at the top  ;)
A few interesting knives with some old Sheffield made scissors
And an old 6'' Bacho spanner at the bottom

What's the knife with the inline awl/punch?

Without putting my glasses on and going out to the garage, I think it was a 1970 Dutch Amefa army knife

Sidenote: The scissors look like an old pattern which was discontinued long ago, but recently brought back into circulation for Ernest Wrights with a Kickstarter campaign - although the new version is slightly different, as it doesn't have the hammer, screwdriver, or bone notch, so these may well be from a different (now gone) maker

The scissors are very loose but I'm hoping to make them useable

And those above are 2 army knives, 1951

Dang, nice finds! I so miss going to flea markets, the last one we went to was like 9yrs ago, and the only thing I remember finding was an old military backpack that the little guy has taken over for his scout camping, a hat that says FD-NY-PD(NY being the NY Yankees symbol) which my son replaced, and a local farmed apple, for the ride home, omg was that sooo good and juicy!

The I XL is curious  I XL on the scales, only SHEFFIELD ENGLAND and INOX STAINLESS on the tang, the scales are plastic and the liners are steel so I don't have any idea of how old it is, 50's/60's?

The tip has broken off the pruning blade, that's the next job  ;)

Nice haul, Tony. I like the scissors.  :tu:

What's the knife with the inline awl/punch?

The scissors have been messed about with, badly sharpened, the screw had been piened over and one of the handles is a bit bent,
fixable I think  :tu:

ps the scissors are stamped  KUMFI-CUT LUXURY and HOT FORGED SHEFFIELD  :salute:

Sadly it was the last 'on grass' carboot for the year here,
but it was really crowded this morning, I had a great time looking through hundreds of boxes of rust  :ahhh  :D

Never heard that name/brand before

Peening over the screw is common. In fact if you dig back to that vid of the old guy still making them today, you can see him doing just that. My small, heavily patinaed pair of scissors, also had a peened over screw, and I was unable to adjust them with a screwdriver. I didn't want to use abrasives anywhere except the edge, and had to do everything with percussion only, but a few choice hits with a universal adjuster soon got them working just fine  :tu: You should have no issues getting them working mate, there's a good handful of decades worth of life left in them

Fingers crossed Mate that I can get them working properly,
I had to file off the peened side because the slot in the screw was non existent and there was too much play in the screw,
I've got the handles looking right, probably sharpening tomorrow  :)

Well this kinda fits in this category, since well, they dropped it off with their car, no?
We used to have one along with a microwave in our bedroom, this way we didn’t have to go alllll the way downstairs to heat up the kids formula, but then when he got older we didn’t really need it for that reason and it was for soda and popcorn, but after moving we just didn’t need it anymore, anyway the older kids wanted one for himself for idk how long, well, one popped up and we snatched it, he’s also away with a friend so he has no clue, so we moved some stuff around put it in place and threw some goodies in it. And heck, make it an early Xmas gift, lol..
