The UK went Metric in 1965, as that was made in 1945 it must be Imperial
Obviously I need to buy another one to fit Metric nuts
Do you have Metric nuts Rob?

Yep, metric nuts for sure. But usually for sizing, it's suck it and see, then a hair more or a hair less... You need to make sure you get right into the crotch for a firm grip, too

Very nice!  The Eclipse handle is neat.  I think you have the rest of the set in a previous purchase? Paring chisel?  Is it marked? The wrench is a real gem and it cleaned up really well.

I do have others Yadda but I'm not sure that there is a set as such, I think there's just different versions
The chisel is stamped but I can't read it

I think Bob has an Eclipse set, but it may be a different handle?   Research needed. I'm getting very interested in chisels. Really hard to find any at yard sales around here.

For use or as part of your er.... collection?
Paul Sellers rates cheap ones you can get from Aldi.
I have some old ones that they were selling off when my school was upgrading.

Using not collecting.  Paul Sellers has done us a few disfavors. ( I am a big fan otherwise.) The price of good used hand planes has gone up mostly due to Paul's videos. He convinced Aldi to sell their chisels in the US, but he talked them up so well you can't find a set unless you are standing there when they put them on the shelf. The price of good used chisel has always been healthy, but they are going up too.  Are you selling?

Whoops sorry I thought that was Sparky I was replying to.
Luckily the Paul Sellers Effect hasn't affected secondhand planes here.... yet.
Nah I'm not selling, plus I'm on the other side of the world.

@ Yadda
I bought that little one for someone who has started wood carving
I didn't realize it was that bad over there for chisels I donated all my spare ones a few weeks ago  :(
I also bought that set of Aldi chisels for a work colleagues lad who was getting in to woodwork  :tu:

All Good Tony!

I'm just getting started in the search.  As with most things, I have more time than money. I'll eventually find what I want and a few extra.

Those darn Aldi chisels.  I'm going to put out a search party the next time they get them in stock.   I want a good, but inexpensive set to learn with while I acquire an even better quality set.

Carving wood requires a level of talent I don't possess.  I picked up several riffler files a few or more years back.  Nice items for wood carvers.  Most people don't realize what they are which often makes them a cheap acquisition.

People here seem to look down on the old blue handled Stanley and Marples chisels
I think they are really worth trying if you can find them over there?

Good luck

I'll keep that in mind as I am looking.  Thank you for the recommendation. Took a quick look on the 'bay.  Less expensive than the Stanley 750 line.   :tu:

I don't think the Aldi chisels are meant to be fantastic, just that for the price they're not too bad.

Completely agree, but you would think they were gold the way they fly off the shelf here in the US.

File, 1/4inch spanner, long 6mm wood bit, 16mm flat bit, two tap wrenches (one home made) another elipse chisel sharpening jig  ::)
Best of all a very used leather apron
Now I have to decide how to clean it
