Best of all a very used leather apron
Now I have to decide how to clean it

(Image removed from quote.)
I use saddle soap to clean my leather stuff. Cleans it and keeps it soft and supple.

That apron is Great Tony, think I'll need one eventually as my T'shirts are getting a bit holey from using the bench grinder
I got me one, I won it somewhere, I think I only used it once, but I’d rather have a leather one, those are nice!

Yes I would call them tap wrenches
I bought them as I can never find one when I need one ( then I use an adjustable spanner  :-[ )

Here is that leather apron, it wasn't cleaning up very well so I put it in the washing machine on the lingerie setting  (I have never used this setting on anything before!)
I have put leather in the washing machine before and it gets ruined so beware!  :ahhh
Anyway it came out not too bad

Then I covered it with NAF Leather food (because thats what I had in the garage)
I might have put too much on  :-[

It seems to have dried out, not looking too bad now and I'm hoping it will get better with time  :)

I have read that olive oil works wonders on restoring leather, but have not yet tried myself

Consider using a couple of tins of saddle soap on the front and suede cleaner/preserver on the back.

I think it's going to stay just like that for a while, it soaked up tons of the leather food and it seems useable at the moment  :tu:

I can always chuck it back in the machine and start again  :)

Can local "eBay" type of service finds also be counted as car boot sales finds?
If yes - I just got Victorinox SwissChamp Super Timer, but it will need a lot of love as it has been seriously neglected and (ab)used, as evident by broken pliers.
