Picked up a few bits this morning
The Estwing hammer weighs about 11/2pounds so 16oz head? I'm not sure

The hammer appears to be the Estwing Model E20S.  It is described as a 20 ounce metal shaft rip claw hammer.  Real leather cover on the handle.  Nice find.  They go for $30 US new.

Lots of other nice bits and bobs including the requisite hatchet/axe.  :D

Thanks Yadda,
The leather on the hammer needs replacing I reckon as it's very dry and loose
I paid 5pounds for the axe and hammer together so I am happy with that!   :D

I do like Estwing hammers.  I have one I picked up on the side of the road 10 years ago.  It came in handy when building my shed.

Probably not what you want to do but interesting nonetheless:

 :hatsoff:

Thank you gentlemen,  I bought it for the Vise-grip 12LC pliers. These are the big ones with the whale jaws.   Made in US so the are 2008 or earlier.  Everything else is gravy.  One of the ballpeen hammers is a Craftsman.  The pliers are Diamond NI6 pliers made in the US.  The drill bits I could identify so far are Millers Falls. The bit set in the plastic sleeve is Oxwall.  Made in the US.  Most of their tools are considered functionally just above junk status.  All but two of the sockets in the sets were made in Japan, Taiwan or unmarked. Brand names Pittsburgh Forge, Crew Line, and Tool Exchange.  I have two dollars in the whole lot of sockets and boxes so I will probably donate most of them. The two Craftsman sockets were marked -vv- so they are US made. The are probably worth more than all of the rest of the sockets combined. The fencing pliers at the far left of the bottom photo are Craftsman.

Sounds Great Yadda
I have a pair of fencing pliers that J-sews very kindly sent to me a few years ago (I'm sure it was Bob but not 100%  )
Very useful for fencing and repairs etc  :tu:

Got myself a nice imperial Barlow. Needs a little work. A bit rusty and the blades are somewhat stiff, slight damage to one of the scales but not bad for 4 pounds

This Allen wrench set was in the estate sale buy.  The box is an old Lucky Strike cigarette box.  The owner soldered holders into the box.

Today's estate sale buy.   The vise is a Rigid 500-R.  5 inch jaws.  The anvils are inexpensive owner made, but the give me something to bang on. The motor is a GE 1/3 hp.

It was hot here and the local market was pumping.
Some of the things I wanted were too expensive but I did get these.
The tenon saw is a Disston Canada (emblem on the other side).
He dropped the total to $23NZD (= $15USD).

A freaking Ridgid? There so good, I had sooo many pieces of their equipment excluding a tripod, I need a good vice, all I got is some $20 4” the jaws screws don’t even fully tighten, and that one anvil to the left look perfect, I’d so love a nice piece of modified railroad tie!
Nice score!

The railroad anvil isn't flat, but I don't do any smithing so it isn't much of an issue.  You'll love this part.  The Rigid vise was $7.50.  It has copper jaw covers.  The original jaw inserts look almost brand new. I paid $20, for the three homemade anvils. I bought the whole lot for $34.25.

That would have been so much better.  I pulled these items out of a shed that hadn't seen sunlight in 20 years.

Nice buys!  Hard to go wrong with a Disston saw.  I don't imagine you see too many there.

The vise was still attached to the bench.  I had to remove three bolts to get it off. I was the last person on the last day of the sale.  No one wants to work for good buys I guess.  I'm looking forward to getting the motor running again.  It is a General Electric 1/3 hp.  I'm hoping to replace the cord and get lucky.  For $2.50 it was worth a shot.  Looks to be circa 1950's.  I have a couple of potential project tools that need a motor.

My grandfather used to have his normal workbench, but then he had his motor bench, it had like four nice size motors with a switch box mounted on top to the back but each was a diff setup directly mounted to the motor, I think using a chuck, but one was a wire brush, another a grinder, another a buffing wheel, the unique thing was how they were setup on the bench each was like at a 45° angle  / / / /  so you had the room to move whatever you were doing..
