Estate sale two weeks ago. Collins Commander axe, Plumb hammer, Craftsman 1980's era 1/2 drive ratchet, -v- mark, bicycle chain repair tool, Stanley nail punch and center punch. ARTISAN punch, three tube cutters, a basin wrench, and a bunch of Craftsman sockets.  The average price per item, ignoring the sockets, was $1.50.

It was quite dirty, but I was able to make it presentable.  Well worth the $1 I paid for it.

Nice pick up. Which reminds me, I bought a basin wrench like that about ten years ago. I didn't have a specific need for it at the time, but it looked really cool, and I figured SURELY a useful application would come along sooner or later for such a unique tool.

A decade-plus later, it's still laying there in my toolbox, looking at me with hopeful eyes every time I open that drawer.  :P
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

 :woohoo:

I've actually been studying up on cordless nailers lately,,, but man are they pricey! I just couldn't justify the price for the small wood projects that I have. Needless to say, I was super stocked to pick this one up at the flea market today for $40,,, and it even came with the bigger battery.

For the small jobs where we are not wanting to hammer a bunch of finish nails or smaller sizes, that looks to be great.

Today's estate sale buys.  Price was $1 for each item.  The aluminum folding ruler is a Lufkin.

$2 for this fine "grit" DMT stone. Tested it on this trapper that I got as part of a lot. First time I've been flea marketing in a while, so nothing crazy, but a good enough deal.

Nice diamond sharpener at a steal.  Trapper looks fine too.  Hard to beat a full sized trapper.  Best wishes.  Gary

Picked up some quality items at the flea market today. Ironically, my Klein cable tester started acting up just this week.

Thanks!  Actually parts of three  buys.  I am stoked about the Mini.  It has been on the acquisition list a long time.  Also, really happy with the chisels and the Cleveland No. 60 drill index.

The Buck has issues.  I'll post later.  I cleaned the plumb bob.  It had too much paint.  I was initially disappointed, but okay now.  Those last buys of the year were very good.

The good and the bad.  This Buck Whitaker X-Tract is a discontinued multi tool.  It's unique in design, but unfortunately, it's just not worth much in this condition.  The problems are numerous.  The plastic is sticky, the battery cover is missing, the plier lock is missing the extension tab, and the Phillips screwdriver  blade is chipped.  Fortunately, this came in a bulk lot that had a Leatherman Mini, so this tool was a bonus.  The knife and pliers look unused.  Too bad the rest of it is trashed.
