Here it is more or less finished on the end of a stick

:o  that looks awesome tony, looks like something a ork would carry into battle  :ahhh  and that anvil makes mine look like a toy  :D   :salute:

The billhook was in fact a very popular medieval weapon, especially with the English.  Would have been on a longer shaft than Tony's though.

Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Us peasants wanted to be as far away from those armored knights as possible when we were poking them with our billhooks

I couldn't leave it in the shop
The handle is very nicely made, a little twist in the middle and comfortable to hold, three metal rivets holding the bowl to the handle

What are you going to use a billhook like that for Tony?  Pollarding?

No pennies to go out with this weekend.  So I hid under the duvet and told myself it was probably raining :)

Good pile of handles Tony, what kind of money were they, if you don't mind me asking.

Why is the head in the freezer?

Fair price on those handles :tu:

I don't think your going to beat 13p for 500ml at Sainsburys on the vinegar though :)

That’s where tools go when the have been naughty....

There was some woodworm in the handle so I cut it off and rather than take the head in to my garage complete with wood stub and possible wood worm   >:D  freezer for a few days should kill the worm ….unless they are Siberian woodworm   :ahhh

Yep I thought a pound each for the handles wasn't bad

Tesco's Value vinegar good with chips or rust  :tu: (can't remember the price)

The spoon thingie might be used for fishing out impurities when melting lead.

Fairly sure its for roasting chestnuts (more odd British customs) but good thinking  :salute:

Picked up some old 'carbon steel' kitchen knives today  :tu:
The black plastic handled knives are Sabatier's, rusty and the ends are a bit bent

And the one with wood handles came apart easily because of the rust
