I was very surprised when I picked this one up as the blades have not been sharpened, I often see knives that someone has taken a grinder to,

This is very lightly used but the scales are a bit scuffed

I was as surprised as you are!

I was looking on a stall where I have found one or two things before (the guy buys 'lots' or does house clearance) when I saw a little pile of SAKs and knives,

these were mostly Chinese junk and the two which I brought, he also had a folding dagger that looked like a boot knife when it was opened, it was also cheap junk

Ooh And I brought some more marmalade and jam

I was keeping an eye out for more interesting stuff but that was about it

I got a pair of these today found them in an old toolbox in a practically empty building a 225 mm pair I think just missing the screw but a nut bolt and some washers fixed that =)

I have just looked through my spare bolt tin and I think I have a bolt that will fit the thread in your new grips once I have cut it down,
Its not quite perfect but it will be a bit better than a nut an bolt
I can pop it in the post to you if you like

Wouldn't a bolt be the same as what I have

If you take a look at the 'back' handle you will see that one of the holes is smaller and threaded
Anyway I reckon I have an ideal bolt to fit (unless the thread is stripped)

I will go cut it down then get a pic for you

They all have, they are OK if you are stuck but the angle is a bit too steep (I might mean too blunt) to make a good screwdriver
But they are great for getting the lid off tins of paint (better than using your Leatherman!)

I did see an old pair that looked about 4'' but these were too small for what I use them for
Personally I reckon the 175mm/7'' is about perfect for my use
(20, 25mm pipe)
