Kick or Sideclip?
on: May 31, 2010, 09:15:17 AM
I may be transferring to a different sort of job in a few weeks, and though it is a promotion, I will not be able to carry a sheath on my belt(that I am aware of).  I have my old sideclip coming back(I sold it thinking it was a different tool, but it was a gift that I thought I had lost), and the one thing that always bothered me was the grip when using the pliers.  I  am thinking about picking up a Kick if the funds come my way, and adding a pocket clip to it.  How do they compare?  I may be able to squeeze a fuse into a small sheath and stick that on my belt, but I can't bet on it.  So, Kick or Sideclip?

That appeals to me, as I don't have to spend any money for that option.   :D

From what has been said previously the Sideclip is the thinnest option and best for suit carry. Clearly popular in the UK as it's all nice and legal  :tu:

Come to think on it I really should get one

In my ever-so-humble opinion - the kick doesn't even come close!

Thanks for the replies everyone!

And why am I not surprised at the overwhelming vote for the sideclip?   :D

Truth be told, I don't have the money for a kick anyway, I could get a fuse for just a bit more and it is almost as slim.  I will probably go with the sideclip, because I don't see a giant need for a lot of plier grip anyway, not in my new position.
