I also reworked an older Leatherman Wave sheath to make a kit for the BO Mini tool.

Kit includes a BO Mini tool (01/95, 05/95 production) a Leatherman 5 one-piece tool, an LED Lenser K3 mini flashlight (which was a Freebie with purchase at the Leatherman Outlet Store many years ago, and puts out a whopping 13 lumens,) and a Case 059L small lockback knife with plastic handle.

The Mini tool is kept in place and made easy to remove with the magnet flap from an old black -eather magnetic money clip.

Thanks for looking!

The sheath is one of the older, leather-and-elastic snap-sheaths that used to come with the Wave and other models. I cut off the flap of the sheath where it widened out to join the box portion, then I un-stiched the elastic side panel, removed the rivets which held the box and belt loop, shortened the box, re-riveted the box and flap, and stitched the elastic panel back on. It will hang on a belt, and even looks OK from the front. My riveting and leatherwork would probably cause a saddle-maker to cringe a bit, but it is functional.

Maxi-Mini !!

The Mini tool works with the old bit adapter. It probably works with the newer, Universal bit adapter of similar design, but I do not have one of those to verify.

The addition of the adapter makes a nice compact kit and improves the Mini tool's capabilities.

Nice one, Poncho  :like:

It's amazing how inventive and creative Leatherman was! This mini tool has everything, and it fits in a tiny jeans pocket.
