I went ahead and made another thumb stud to show you guys the steps. You need a little lathe though.

Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate how to do this.  I do not have a lathe, but it is nice to see how something is done

Thank you folks.
I forgot to show the lock picks I made that I carry in the plastic slide in sleeve. I made them out of jig saw blades so the picks would fit in the file/saw holder of the surge.
