Nice Benner. My Kwakster differs from yours by exchanging the medium sized flathead for the can opener/wire stripper.  :tu:

Did I just see a charge with a serrated blade in place of the plain edge?

Someone please explain. My world just turned upside down. ;)

Bob, I think those are photos of the one I have.

Let me see if I can find the photo I took of it when I got it from a fellow forum member...might take some time though.

EDIT: Quicker to just take new ones.

Chako's Charge sunflower always makes me feel a little inadequate. :)

The titanium model is an Ti. I like finding discontinued models (thrill of the hunt), and I tried to buy a new XTi for my first Charge. I found an online vendor claiming to have two in stock. I bought one, was sent an ALX instead, and the vendor quickly changed their stock notice from two to zero. I liked ALX and paid a fair price, so I kept it and tried again with an Amazon seller. He sent me what looked like a refurbished XTi. The blades were sharp and new looking, but very dirty. Opening the tool felt a little funny, and one of the torq screws was quite a bit larger than the others. That I sent back.

Finally, I bought a like new Ti from an eBay seller. He claimed he had returned his Ti to Leatherman for a repair, and they sent him a new one.

Just want to share pictures ..here is what i've done with my TTi today :D
Flamed TTi  ;)

(Image removed from quote.)

:multi:

Mate, did you remove the scales from the Charge before heating them up?

I mangled a washer trying to align the scissors up, so lost that one. Is there a jig to use to align the tool parts and washers up, or it a luck thing?
Think if I do it again am going to make an alignment bit to screw into the pin, then have a cone shaped end to align washers and bait a lot better then the luck method.

Xelkos,
Yes, we should take all the scales off, and just heat the scales only :D
I ever write a simple step how to do this, here is the link :

I was asked to join in the chat on Multitool.org, and was welcomed with warmth also very helpful people indeed, so thanks to all involved.

I noticed the heat treated Charge, and was so wrapped up in its beauty, I quickly pasted the pictures onto the Leatherman facebook page, without a single thought of the person involved in its creation, but I was quickly brought back to the ground, when someone, so rightly, asked me to credit the individual responsible. Also to give my short synopsis or review, a wider audience. And subsequently was sent here to make it in person, well it’s the least I could do.

The credit, thanks, a huge well done, and keep up the work go to Leopis of MTO; only by invention and innovation do we see true progress, it’s all about trying new stuff out, some things we like and some things we truly love.

I did this with a laser.  I could theoretically use a pattern to make it also.  One day I'll experiment with it.
