Hi gang! Just wanted to boast a little, about actually using my Vic. stuff

Some time ago, I bought a Spirit X, with the rattle. It was then placed in one of my EDC 'kits' (which I never actually carry, because I don't like to hang any stuff on my belt

Didn't get a lot of use there, now did it?
So last night, I was doing a gearcheck for a shoot at a party, later that night.
I already had a Cybertool and another basic Vic knife (don't know the name, and cannot be buggered to go find out right now

) in my photo-bag.
I opened my drawer to take something out, and the EDC-kit caught my eye.
I decided the Spirit would become part of my photo EDC, so it might get some use, at last.
The Cybertool made the small knife redundant anyway, and those functions were also on the Spirit, whith the bonus of the hex driver & bits.
I was at the party, when all of a sudden my flash would fire only when I held my camera a certain way.
I'd had the problem before, so I knew how to fix it, only last time I fixed it I was in the comforts of my office/workspace.
The top of a flightcase formed my workbench.
Luckily, the Spirit was in my photo-bag, and teamed up with the Cybertool!
Another EDC item provided lighting for the job at hand, namely my less-than-a-week-old Zebralight h501w

Using the small corkscrew screwdriver of the Cybertool I popped off the clip protecting the flashmount's screws, and using the rattle & bits I gently torqued up the screws of the flashmount.
Having been very concentrated on the task I was performing I hadn't noticed a little crowd had gathered, looking at what I was doing. Some of the stagehands were very interested in the Spirit, which got passed around to be studied, and compared to their Leathermans (which were 4 Charge's I think, with at least one AL(X) among them).
So my Vic's really saved my hiney last night...
(Yes, I could have switched to one of the two other bodies in my bag, but this was more fun! I felt like MacGyver

)
