Now how did I know that Dunc would be the first guy to post here? :P  He was probably out pulling fishermen out of the ocean and sensed this was here and was drawn to it, leaving his fellow rescuers to pull the rest out of the water!

It's nice to see the site growing.  I'm going to have to buy a Swisstool just so I can post in this forum!

I wouldn't if I were you... it could ruin you for all other multitools!  Look what they've done to Dunc!

I love my SwissTool ..... but can still see room for improvement on it :)

1) Charge style one hand opening main blade with thumb stud
2) Flip open pliers (like SOG with compound leverage would be sweet!)
3) Belt Clip
4) A little thicker to add an extra layer with scissors and magnifying glass and compass
5) Built in Spirit Level
6) Lighter weight

:D

PS - Maybe even squeeze in the usual SAK additions of Tweezer, ToothPick, Pin, Pen ..... means I can leave my CyberTool at home !

Start adding all of that and you are going to have something that outmasses even the AutoTool!

The SwissTool X and SOG PowerLock S60 are my (current) favorite multitools.  The PowerLock's smooth opening, compound action jaws can't be beat.  But, one disadvantage is that if you need to use a screwdriver blade with the handles wide open (i.e., at 180 degrees with respect to each other), the pliers head sticks out.

Under the same conditions, the pliers head on the SwissTool X and most other pliers multitools can be folded into one handle and keeps mostly out of the way, requiring less clearance.

I've never used the SwissTool like that but it's a good point .....
