I have had this Wave to long as is ;) I did the blade swap almost a decade ago but that will probably be the last model on this one :tu:

Nothing says I won't get a Wave + sometime in the future though  :D

I happened to do some tools swapping today. The rebar AWL will not fit into the place of the small bit holder. It's too thick.

Non stock tools from a old pst. I kinda like the more centred philips. And it's half the size of a modern Philips so I can fit in 3 tools rather than 2..

Damn, i may need to do then little grinding on awl to fit it in. I need more awl than small bitdriver.

If u have access to grinder, I suggest u reshape other tools. Try to find a ok-ish rebar. They are rather affordable. The smaller flathead thickness should fit in fine I think. Re-profiled it to your preferred shape for for an awl.

This is the layout on my Wave

You'd need to pull off the pliers head rest from inside the body for the PH to fit, but width-wise, this combination works.

Hmm good layout bit maybe that combination doesnt serve very well on my needs, i need all four outside tool daily, scissor are used sometimes like every other tool except small bitdriver.
I shaped can opener more useful for my use and i need now only straight blade awl on wave to serve my purposes more

The recently acquired Wave + and two Frankenstein Waves I bought from TTC last year. In term of fit and finish, this Wave + is as perfect as a new-gen Wave can be. No tool rubbing or adjustment is needed. Most of the new-gen Wave I bought had the pliers pivot a bit tighter than I like.

The 2 freakish Waves were impulse purchases. I got some botched gold plating, CC pliers heads, S30V blades, crazy color scheme... what not to love? For sure, my Waves conduct electricity better than your plain factory Waves  :D.

So I decided to tone down the blingy-ness of the middle Wave a little. I stripped off all four gold-plated blades, and replaced with uncoated ones. The S30V blade was replaced with a TTC-made S35VN. This S35VN blade is thicker, and has a nice matte gray finish. For some reason, it did not fit correctly on Charges, but is perfect on this Wave frame. The serrated blade with gut hook was replaced with one from a Charge Ti. One reason I like Charge Ti is its blades are polished. This one will be a gift for a friend  :D
