What sheath did you order Buzz ?

A horizontal leather sheath from Nay’s Custom Leather.

My new sheath arrived from Nay's Custom Leather. It's not the masterpiece quality that I used to get from Dale Pack Station, but I can't really complain, since the Dale Packs were some of the best leatherwork I've ever seen at any price.

The Nay is definitely worth fifty bucks though. The design is excellent. The snap is of great quality. The leather is strong and thick. The fit is a bit tight, as it should be, so the sheath can slowly break in and not have the tool rattle around annoyingly.

The sewing is definitely sturdy. Decent looking, but not outstanding. There was some excess glue to clean off of the leather, but not too much. The edges are well dressed. All in all, this a very functional and strong sheath for a good price. I'm a happy guy.

I'll probably continue to use my black Charge sheath for EDC use, since it's the same color as my everyday belt. But for outdoor use, the Nay will get the nod, as the belt loop is much more rugged than the horizontal system on the Leatherman nylon sheath.

I'm very happy with it. If I were to nitpick, I would have preferred that the inside of the snap be covered with leather. I actually would have insisted on it being covered, it this were for a traditional knife. But for a multitool, it's really not an issue at all.

That’s a good idea you don’t see many sheaths that have
the snap covered on the inside to protect from scratching  :like: :tu:

I’ve glued a piece of felt to the inside of my Buck 112  sheath to stop the inside of the snap marking the wood

Very nice !   I cover the inside snaps and rivets on my Leatherman sheaths with thin wallet leather.

Thanks. I just use the iPhone 7 that work gave me, and some natural lighting. Maybe the Snapseed app to spruce things up a bit.

I’m thinking about getting a real digital camera some day, to see what I can do with better equipment.
