Well I got my pocket clip and lanyard ring. I think it's pretty cool. Now I need a BO wave to compliment my other tools.

Isn't it about time for a new Wave model? The first one went 6 years, this one is now at 7. It's kind of an exciting prospect! The Rebar tool has me all worked up.

while I'm normally happy to see an update on a MT, I do think LM have others to look at first. The Juice is 10 years old now and, while I like them just fine, there is definitely room for improvement.

Very true. I like the jeese as well, but the inner tools(mostly those evil flatheads) need some thought. That and the stupid bottle opener needs to go.

So I have been totting around my wave for awhile now. I think this is perhaps the best multi I have owned. So now it's time to hunt down a BO wave as cheap as I can find.

Agree with this. The new Wave is outstanding. While I carry a Charge ALX as my EDC, it's only because I don't need a scissors on the farm. (Plus, I consider the Wave and Charge to be the same tool series).

I tend to have a very strong positive/negative reaction on first holding a new MT and, despite giving all my MT's a fair chance, I'm don't often change my mind. The only notable exception would be the Spirit, I was very cool towards it when I first handled one, now it's my favourite MT. Well the Wave gave me a good vibe right from the get go, despite the fact there are a couple of aspects I'm not so keen on, it just feels like a hard working tool.

I cant argue with that gareth, its such a cool versatile tool, it stills looks as hightech now as it did when first came out, just wish they kept the original scissors, its my only gripe

I have to say I'm so far very impressed with the old style wave! Long driver bits, albeit
they don't lock it doesn't really matter to me on most uses. The outside opening tools
don't rub against the scales, the pliers are smoother than on my charge series units and
they don't bind when squeezed like the newer heads do. Also, there aren't those annoying
little metal stubs inside where the tools are, that catch when closing the whole thing up
after use. I'm a fan of the original wave.

I love my wave! Use it at work all the time! Great tool at a great size!
I'll have to throw up some pictures. I must say that the leather pouch/sheath is by far a good addition and upgrade from the pouch/sheath it comes with. I'll take pictures of that as well

Yeah, mine has exactly the same scuff marks, looks like it's from touching the inner surface of the blades' liner locks. Not a big deal IMO.

It's probably caused by the tight tolerances LM has and that's not a bad thing!

It doesn't bother me. I'd rather have a tightly secured tool than loose parts.

Little wear doesn't bother me, eventually it'll smooth out anyway.

Btw, does anyone use oil lubricants on the bolt fittings? I want to lubricate mine so my pliers are easily opened. I'm a fan of one-handed opening multi-tool like ny SOG. If so, what oil lubricants would you recommend?

a little 3 in 1 for me or if it's a food MT, mineral oil .
