joining exclusive Wave OC...

with all the positives (and reluctantly negative) comments on Wave...an old 2004a/b stamping was bought about 3 wks ago .. and yet to arrive...

if i searched it right, this may be an new 'old' version which had some improvement on it over the 1st Wave .. photog when it comes thru (another anxious wait ::)

I'm in the club temporarily :)
I got a pre 2004 wave with the original (awesome) leather sheath.
It's going to be my little brothers birthday present.

I didn't realize how much they bulked up the new wave compared to the old one.
It's about the same size as a fuse!

Yes it is. But I like it. Why what's wrong with that kind?

I personally hate it. It is big and bulky and holds the tool slightly loose in the sheath. The tool can also be removed through the side without even opening the front flap. I just refuse to carry any MT in that sheath. If it works for you than i'm happy but beware your MT is at risk of being lost especially if you carry horizontally.

After looking a little closer at the sheath. You are right it will come out the side. What I will do is just to add another snap on it to make it a little tighter. That will hold it until I figure a way to make a custom kydex and leather sheath for it.

I believe there was a thread about fixing this issue. Someone made a plastic insert as to make walls so it could not fall out. I will see if I can find it.

Here it is.

http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,29330.0.html

Thanks. I think I will use kydex for this. That way I can basically build many storage compartments inside the sheath.
