New Page Waves!  :waving:  :waving:  :waving:

Friend of mine found a LM in the middle of the road - said he was driving and spotted something out of the corner of his eye, stopped the car and waited as several other cars drove over whatever he had seen.

It was a Wave and was in excellent working condition despite the battering it received!
It was probably the mini driver he saw.
That was destined for that Mini Driver thread but thought I had better spread the love around...

Well I used to be a Mini driver myself (a Van and a Traveller) so I prefer the latter.
Also, it took me a while to find a good pic of her.

There are great cars. My first car was a 35 year anniversary mini. We went camping in it all over the country - it was briiliant. Too small once our daughter was born though. Would love to get another one someday.

Any pics of your Traveller?

None worth showing. It wasn't a woody one - was about '73 0r '74. I bought it for parts for my van. It was painted in what looked like roof paint.
I bought the Van (1968) off a clown which is why it had a sun, flowers, cow etc painted on it. I had plans to spruce it up and put a 1275cc engine from a landcrab into it (the 850's crankshaft broke whilst passing a truck) but sadly I never got around to it and they both rusted away.

Off a Clown?  :D I'm surprised it didn't fall apart completely as soon as you drove it home.

The funny thing was he used the money to buy a pair of shoes.
Nah it was a good wee car. I remember driving fully laden up a big hill with steam pouring through the dash  :ahhh  then it would be fine on the way down.

Ok Wave owners.... I have a question about my Original Wave. I’ve had it and USED it since buying it in 2002. It has been sent back once for broken pliers.

My question... from these pics, can you tell how much life the diamond file has left?

From the pics it looks pretty good to me  I would suggest taking a knife that needs a bit if a sharpen to it and if it sharpens it fairly decent then you should be good to go for a while :salute:

LOL, I actually did. I used to sharpen knives with it all the time. I just wasn’t sure if I was still using diamond grit or metal on metal!  Haha

I did clean up a knife with it at work a few nights ago...

I use mine all the time, yours looks good.
I was instructed to clean any diamond file blade off under running water frequently to keep it clean.  Apparently it will collect the material and cause it to smooth out with use.  I use a tooth brush for some extra scrub function. This applies to real and man made (synthetic) files.  So I carried over to my Wave as well.

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!
