Ebay help,
on: July 21, 2010, 02:26:20 PM
Ok last week i sold my old single pickups from my old electric guitar as i wrecked the scratch plate so i decided to but a new setup , all this stuffed work other than i disconnected on of the pickups and i needed the grounding wirer,

ok i took a pic of all the stuff and i never wrote any of it worked as i thought it did , but i sold it as parts for a electric guitar project, it sold for £10

well i got back today a message from the buyer saying none of it works and there is a wire missing,  now it did all work and yes there was 1 wire missing but i did take a good photo of all the stuff,

now the worst part is i have very good feedback and i cant prove him wrong, and his last words are what are you going to do about it  :(  this annoyed me, not sure how to get around this other than full refund and pay the postage for its return , but then i end up paying for the Postage and the ebay fees,

That's ebay for you.  You'll not like this answer but your best course of action is to agree to a full refund upon return. Chalk it up to experience.

If you don't, the buyer will just take the matter to PayPal as goods not as described and PP will take the money off you and refund them anyway.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

i know mate,in all these years ive only had 3 other problems, and ive ended up losing out money wise every time, but since posting this the guy has sent me a pm saying his tech guy has got all 3 pickups working so looks like all ok, again i think its the way some people word stuff on the net, it did get my backup and i get #is#ed off losing out every time,  :-\

Glad it didn't go to far south.... ebay can be a pain in the bits.

I had someone whining about my packaging once. The item was a small cheap trinket (utter cr*p truth be told) and I included P&P so it really didn't cost much. I think the final price was about £1.20!
I sent it in a sealed plastic bag, inside an envelope 1st class, but apparently that wasn't good enough. It was cheap and it arrived safely, so I don't know what the damn fool was on about  ::)

You can't please all of the d*ckheads all of the time ;)

i dont get much trouble selling but most is on ebay, i had a package once that i sent to germany it was all well packed but he said the item was broke , i asked for pics and he said ok but never sent one and then said he could sent it back but came up with a stupid postage charge that i would have to pay, he then said he would leave bad feedback and since all of mine is good i ended up paying half back and it worked ut i made £2 out of the whole thing, i was annoyed but what can you do,  :-\
