Bittersweet day.......but look what I scored!!
on: July 23, 2010, 06:50:17 AM
Here I am, back home in the USofA, at the beach.   Lets say my stomach is NOT used to American food yet, after eating Korean food for 3 years......

The stomach says "I need to unload, fast!!!" I head to the nearest bathroom while on Tybee Island, Georgia; a Subway shop.   I do my business.

I go back to the condo.  Next morning, awake, go watch the sunrise on the Atlantic.  I need my Champion SAK I EDC....WHOOPS!!!  Not on my belt.

I hunt all over.  Only place that comes to mind it could be lost: Subway bathroom.   I go back, the person at the store at 0845 is RUDE, would NOT let me go check, called me an ass, etc.   I leave, call my father in law to come (get this: he is a judge, lawyer, and a Tybee Island part time cop....).  We both go talk to him.  Even more rude.

Champion a TOTAL loss........   :((((((((((((((((  This is the one I bought in Korea at a pawn shop, gave it some TLC, and carried for 2 years.    Sigh...some schmuck now has it.

Later today at around 1300, I go to Bass Pro Shops, Target, nothing fits my fancy.   I need a SAK NOW!!! (my collection from Korea is in transit with our household goods; rest are in NW Alabama in storage, and I am in Georgia at present).   I have several guns at home to work on, etc. for Friday's gunrange session.   So, I go to the mall where Bass Pro Shops is, and check out the cigar shop, as they sell knives, too.  I go into the shop.............what do I find????

Guess what I scored today: a brand new in the box AUTOTOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Heck, even the battery is still in plastic.  Tag on windshield wiper tool is still there, pouch is cherry, etc.  Cost, w/tax: $53.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I will post pics soon.

ON a happy note, Felinevet is sending me a replacement Champion.......

Glad it worked out. I hate losing something of value though, even if I replace it - it's just not the same.
