Things going real well gentleman. Alot if you don't know me enough except maybe def and gadget guy. I want to tell grant personally before I post stuff here. He knows my life, past and all my troubles...well most of them. My life has completely turned around, more info to come but too soon to get into details. You guys are great and I don't know what I would do without you. Thanks for all your prayers and support. You guys are awesome!

Well this may come as a shock to you folks but others it may not. I have waited to see what I got from from folks in real life before I said anything here. Response has been excellent and folks are very happy for me. Now what is going on? I met someone and I am very happy indeed. Now I know folks wonder about all kinds of things which include factors such as, are you moving to fast, you just lost your wife and you don't need any kind of emotional attachment right now. It's not like she is someone I just met, I have known her for 4 years and use to work with her. Initially it started out as I needed someone to talk too, someone outside of Church, work and family. It did start out as such but blossomed real quick after that. 4 years ago we knew we liked each other but because I was married and she was dating (and I am not that kind of person) we left it at that, I just always thought she was cute, funny, etc.
Well this past weekend we spent more time together than ever before and it was painful to watch her go at the end of the night. She passed the test with family and friends for sure. She even got a thumbs up from my cousin as we were getting out of the car at church....literally! She is such an amazing person and I am so glad to have her in my life. I myself as well as other folks thought I would be very sad and alone for a while but I found it pretty easy to pick up my life and carry on. She is very understanding and we have talked more in depth and personal about my late wife and stuff. She is great with the kids and understands she can never replace their mom but love them and treat them like she is. We have been dating for weeks but feels like we have know each other forever. Like I said, I worried about what other folks would think about me but the world is very happy for me indeed. I can't think of anything more to say, only been awake 30 mins or so and my brain is thinking too hard this early.
What you folks think? You going to grill me or be happy for me?

Dave, I couldn't be happier than to hear this news! Life is too short and I admire your attitude to get back on the horse and refuse to be misserable. You're doing exactly the right thing buddy and don't take any crap from anyone who says otherwise.

Good on you David. It's nobody's place to judge what's right for you and your kids, other than yourself. So if it feels OK then most likely it is.

Just wanted to say, emotions can wreak havoc on your body. Since dad died and them my wife, I've almost lost 25 pounds. Just the lack of interest in food and what not had caused me to lose allot of weight. I probably needed to lose it but this wasn't exactly the way I envisioned doing it. Ashley had changed me big time in the emotional department and I an enjoying life again. The extra ticket we now have for it disney vacation we have planned for the week after christmas, shes coming.having her with me and the kids, its going to be the best christmas ever. This past christmas was the worst so its going to be nice to see a major change. Thanks for all your prayer so and support, without you I don't think I could gotten through it. You guys were the rope and she pulled me to safety.

My wife has told me that should something happen to her she would want me to find someone else. It would be hard but I probably would. I certainly ain't gonna judge you. I just hope you and your kids are happy.

Glad to hear your situation has taken a turn for the better Dave.
It must be wonderful having someone you can lean on and turn to and talk to and help get you through these hard times.
I hope things continue to work out in a good way.
