Can see the cabin we stayed at in the distance by the water


This is from when we ventured to the top of one of the mountains


There is no problem that cannot be solved by the use of high explosives.

The survival candles either side were made from stuff Tony sent us the other week.  Most effective they are too :)

As the sun has finally got a bit active again after many years of just being a glowing blob, I decided today to explain sunspots to the boys.

So I set up my binoculars on a tripod and projected the disc of the sun, as you do.

Pretty cool, we could see spots.

Then just as I was trying to take a picture of the projection (handheld and wobbly like), this happened...

 

Well we thought it was cool :D

Very cool mate. 8)  Reminds me of the time I was at a camera obscura with my daughter, just playing around with the view when we suddenly had a Hercules in our sights. >:D

Thats really good Neil , and that really is me in the boat lol taken around 4 years ago, I only found that photo about 2 months ago and at first I couldn't work out how it was taken as I couldn't remember any other aircraft in the area but there must have been a small plane somewhere above the heli

This photo was taken before we won 1st place in our district office Christmas presentation: :tu:



..and won 2nd place in the regional office competition watch by hundreds of co-employees from six district offices.
