WTB: Large Industrial Steel Nut
on: June 18, 2010, 08:24:41 PM
No jokes please...   :D

I was at an office yesterday and a guy had a large steel nut sitting on his desk. I just had to have it, but the guy wouldn't sell.  ::)  Anyway, the size was approx. 5" X 5" and it was off some type of industrial machine. I thought since we have so many members here that I might have a shot of finding something like that here.

Anyway, it never hurts to ask!

do truck nuts count?

seriously though i've seen the big galvanized nuts at flea markets used in the oil fields for something or another. Big enough you could put your hand through.

My grand dad who was a machinist would make us rings out of ss nuts and weld a buffalo head or mercury dime on them.  kinda neat when ur a kid.

If you could put your hand thru it, it's probably the perfect size.   Details....   :tu:
