No! :rant:Marlboro scales are so cool!Makes you think of Eddie Lawson on the Yamaha,Alain Prost in the McLaren,Cowboys riding the range.....!Mind you dibs on the scales if you do swap them  :pok:

Very cool Sak one way or the other!

that is true, I was thinking in PC terms, smoking is bad etc, but now realize I always found the label sympathetic anyway, probably because I associate it with F1 and 500cc motorbike races I saw as a kid. Okay, the scales stay (its cheaper that way too).

Not strictly new....but here is my first go at a SAK mod.

An old classic with some home made wood scales.  Not sure of the wood, the guy opposite had the tree in his garden and I scavenged it for fire wood when he had it taken down.  Took a few attempts but finally got a pair that fit OK.

Ordered a Black Huntsman but have not received it yet. Is there a difference between the Huntsman and the Huntsman II?

Huntsman II is the name sometimes used for the economy line of SAKs, so it'll have the Nylon scales and hot stamped shield. :)

That's a pretty good deal! You want a '83 DAK as well? It's more expensive that your Soldier though ;)

I'm lucky to have found it for that price.  I had already spent to much on Saks this month to begin with.  Maybe one of these days I can afford a 83 DAK.  I already have a 83 Wenger.  I'm trying to build up a collection of Soldiers from the 90's and 00's.  I will worry about older knives in the future.

Reinier is DAK man!  I had none... now I have 3, two from Mr. DAK.  One interesting thing about the DAK is it was essentially just a civilian knife with official stamp; proving that at least back in the erlier years there really was no build quality differences between them and the official Alox soldiers.

A nice Huntsman, cellidor scales with the Elinox logo, no T&T:

It had a company logo but a little Brasso took care of that 8)
