The Evowood are very nice. This was a great choice for the SOSAK KOTY, and sort of funny that last year VSAKS annual club knife was a wood scaled Compact.  Wood is in I'd say.  I Guess Wenger had a fair bit of success with their EKA Wood Collection partnership and decided to see what they could come up with on their own.  They did really well!

OK, but normally it could take a month to find a specific knife... your lucky day though as I knew where this one was at.  Sorry but I didn't remove the oil from the hook.

My latest SAK is three SAKs :D

First is the VSAKCS Classic that arrived in the new membership package. Second is an old 84mm Tinker (square Phillips, scales damaged but other than that in pretty good condition). Third is a pre-1991 black Explorer in almost mint condition :P

Pretty happy with these since they were practically for free. Also, I didn't expect them to arrive today since the mail company is on strike! :D

Use the force, SAK.

(Which makes me think of how cool it would be to have a Vic-made light sabre, but I digress...)
Let us therefore open the book of Nature and read in her records.

Got a couple of Static Classics. Interestingly the design is exactly the same on each one.

They're both very cool, but if I had to pick I'd say the blue is more eye catching. 8)

I know what you mean about the snap.  Am I the only one who finds the recoil up your thumb painful when opening?

Another one to look out for is the Baker's knife.  Its very easy to snap the blade home and the very tip swiftly and easily make a little slice trough your flesh  :ahhh

I know what you mean, it is a little worrying to start with. :-\  Most of my SAKs I let them snap just a little when closing them, not with the Solo, that gets gently guided in all the way home.

I have noticed this a little bit with the snap on my ribbed cadet.

I don't have any 108mm knives, but I have noticed that every 84mm knife without backspring tools I have handled (cadet, bantam and recruit) have the most snap on the main blade compared to any of my other SAKs, including the 93mm.

I think it may have to do with the short distance between the blade pivot pin and the center pin.  The shorter length of the backspring making it stiffer.   Not nailbreakers, but more solid feeling for sure.

A Wenger Shackle SAK , my first Wenger SAK. I like it , a little kooky & unusual  :D. If it had a little set of scissors it would be perfect.

Thanks to Neil & his Hive of SAKtivity for the quirky SAK  .
Now I need to get one of those Wenger SAK's with the pressure locking screwdriver(s)  :D :D :D
