I know it's ...(drumroll)... sakrilege, but I might just remove these beautiful but chunky blue scales and stick some camo on there... turn it into a regular Rambler, which I don't have at the moment. But I do like the badge-button mechanism, it would be sad to see that consigned to the garbage bin. Decisions, decisions.

If you trade the blue scales by camo scales, wouldn't you be turning the regular Rambler into a Rambo?...

I enjoyed reading your review of the Boker (and the Swiza) - I found it only after I'd ordered this one. Mine doesn't have scissors - which is a stroke of luck, by the look of things. Yes, I wish they'd made up their mind about the belt-cutter/screwdriver. I might have to follow your advice and just pretend it's not there...
Thanks :salute:

A little mid-week shopping at the local grocery superstore, and I ran through the hardware section for a backup Mini Maglite. I figured "in for a torch, in for a tool!" so I threw a little red Classic in the cart.

I maintain I'm not becoming a collector!
EDC: SwissChamp, Swisstool X, Zippo, Mini Maglite, all on my belt. I'm one more sheath away from becoming Batman.

Picked up a Modeler and a 2010 Dutch Army Knife (basically a Dual Pro X).

Both should be new in box.

Can't wait for them to arrive! 8)

Yes, I wish I'd got an old style magnifying glass on my Explorer, but this one was so cheap I could not resist. What a great SAK! My Spartan Lite is history, I'm afraid. I expect to get millions for it on ebay.

Did I hunt down that giant reptile and kill it with the Explorer?
No, I was walking along and there he was. Must have been dead for some time. The tail end still had some life in it though - when I touched it coiled up slightly, which  was weird. When you see how dead the rest of it is, especially.

Seems I got lucky today. Found it at a flea market.
Does anyboy know how to determine it's manufacturing date more exactly than somewhen between 1951 and 1961?

Sorry for the bad quality, I was so invovled in cleaning and worshipping it, I forgot to take pictures before when there was better light.

No, it's a Lomo Lubitel 2. I bought it from the same guy and need to see if it works. There are some bits missing and a part of the body is chipped off but for the price I paid for it (for both actually), it would be also alright if it's just suitable to be a stylish decoration :P

(Also I like to collect things "Made in USSR". So far I got a bunch of Militaria, a handful of cameras and my wife, Made in USSR. :P )

At 5€ I didn't have to think too much about it.
