I am rather pleased with the size of the Ranger :o So much more pocketable than the Champion and definitely more than the SwissChamp :dd: Gonna carry it for the next couple days and see if I like it better than the Champion and the few extras it has over the Ranger

Nice one.  You got the inlaid "camping" scales too, rather than the screened one.

The Ranger is a fantastic model, especially when you realize how tool-dense it is.  I has only one more thin layer, but 5 more tools than a Huntsman!

Yes I am very happy with it NS  It has my fav 4 (WS, MS, scissors and blade) all in a very smallish SAK :tu:

Ranger was the SAK that started it all for me. My Dad has one, I have one and I have some waiting for the kids when they are old enough to have them. :tu:

That is awesome Slinger :salute:

Very nice Colo. Where did you find that?
Jeep the SAK of the auto world or is it SAK the Jeep of the Knife world?

Yeah I can't knock the good ol' Huntsman or Mountaineer, but the size difference is so small, might as well get the Ranger, PLUS you can get the Camping scales on a knife that, for me, is more usable when actually camping. Scissors are a must have for moleskin and bandages, often scissors are a cleaner cut on paracord (I always take a lighter to the ends anyway). I'd like to somehow combine the inlay from the camper scales with the inlay from the Astronaut scales for when I'm camping on the moon.

Mail today.    :mail:

A used Wenger (Alpine Backpacker) and a new Victoriwenger (Evolution 23).

It is always funny getting used knives, you never know what to expect.  The Backpacker had a basically pristine edge but the nail file was worn down smooth!  (Someone must have used it like a real file.)

Hey, it's a nail file, I use it on nails! And on the occasional screw or rivet...

I EDC the Vic Cheese Sword as part of my lunch kit.

As Denmark is generally blade-phobic I have usually handled most non-food cutting tasks with a spyderco bug, but last week I bought a cellidor bantam to get a longer blade in a non-threatening package.

It carries well enough, but I am wondering if an alox version would tickle my fancy abit more? If only bantams came in red alox :-[

My Outrider was the same as this, camo with phillips on back, but no Malaysian Army graphics tho... I took out the openers and scissors/phillips, but thinking of putting them back in.
