So the Hiker I ordered yesterday arrived in the mail this morning

Now I need to learn how to make a nice looking lanyard :)

Nice grab Gee

I just picked up a Camper as a spur of the moment buy when I checked in on a local storefront in my hometown.

It's identical in tools except instead of the Phillips driver it has a corkscrew. If I could choose between the two I would have gotten the hiker. The Philips is more useful to me, however, the micro driver that goes in the corkscrew is useful for my glasses.

Yesterday I got this SAK, really beat up and in bad bad shape

I cleaned it twice, took out the gunk, removed the rust and then took these pics

I'm doing what I can to bring it back to business

I believe it to be a Wenger Champ

Blade snapped very easily, was this broken already: I decided it'll be a wharnie shape since I always carry another pointed blade apart

I'll use this one around scared people/less blade-friendly environments as it looks so innocent now.

Long live SAKs and their war tales...

New utility knife style blade slices hard plastic like the Dickens

It is rather lovely. I was never big into collecting SAKs, but have / have had one of most flavours now, lol. I'd likely add a Vic '67 if such a thing exists and became available though.

I picked up this Camper on a whim the other day while checking in on a local brick and motor shop to see what was in stock. It looked like a spartan but I noticed something tucked in the center that wasn't opened up like the rest of the tools. I asked to look at it and Behold! A wood saw. I couldn't set it down after that. It's been my EDC now since then. I simply added a micro driver and pin to complete its tool set.

I like it Peacent!  There's enough other tools on it that it's still a great carry!  Sort of the knifeless Rebar of the Wenger realm.

I won't take credit for this, as I saw the idea on Pinterest (or something similar, I don't go to Pinterest). This is a Victorinox Stubby Sentinel mod. The basic idea is to cut off about a third of the handle and blade, reshape it and make it into a smaller knife.

I marked and cut the scale and blade, cut them off with an angle grinder, then used a belt sander to shape them. I also had to regrind the blade as you can only buy OHT Sentinels here with a serrated blade. I inserted a small backspacer below the backspring in order for the lock to work properly without failing. The backspacer and the scales are made out of rosewood burl.

These are the pics of the final product:
