 :woohoo: SCORE , Roc!  :multi:

If mine, I would try what I have on hand   :D  ....  some 0000 Steel wool then some mothers polish.
If that failed, I would prolly go with the finest wet dry Automotive sand paper I had in the tote in garage  - I think the finest I ever have on hand is 4000 grit.

Then again............. Who would do what I would do???  :dwts:   :2tu:

Thanks guys. I get lucky every now and then. Thanks for the advice Cali. I tried the steel wool route this morning. I think it lightened it a bit. May have to go with the sandpaper if I feel like getting that involved.

Got in a Wenger today that I can't ID.  Like a Colonel but with a nail file and no wrench/Phillips layer.

Any guesses?

Think I already have one of these somewhere with Chinese letters down the side.

The Classic name is a guess, based on other knives.

Don't think they were ever imported into the US, but probably common in Europe. I have both versions.

Not a full SAK, but parts of:
2 pairs of Plus scales (Black and Red), and a pair of Ecoline ones :)
Meet me also on youtube & instagram for mostly knives (and multitools) content

My dad handed me his SAK. A SwissChamp.
It took him a long time getting one, he always wanted one because his dad had one as well.
His dad (my grandpa) promised him his SAK after his death,
Sadly that one got lost when he passed so he never got the knife.

Fast forward a decade or so and he picked up this knife.
When the scales on my Handyman broke I bought black plus scales. He wanted to replace the front scale with a black one.
I thought he was crazy, I didn't like the black and red. Thought it looked messy.

A SwissChamp has been on my wishlist for a long time and I decided on getting a used one. Then replace the scales with green ones.
When he hear he offered me his. At first I declined, because I know the history. But I couldn't refuse in the end.

Now I have it here I can't get myself to replace the black and red scales. This is how the knife is going to be.
I'm going to give it a good clean, get all the dust and nicotine out. Then oil it and give it a special place.

True, that has to stay the way your dad gave it to you.  So much sentimental value there and a heart touching story.  :tu:
Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.

I'd have to leave it be also. My OCD would tell me otherwise though. I tried a two color explorer for a while, but in the end it was to much for me. It had no sentimental value to me though.
