Old Browning multi-blade made in Germany.
Hey ColoSwiss, that old Browning is very very nice knife. I'm looking for that one for about 3 years, but no luck  :(.
Can you please upload more pictures, so i can see it better? Where did you find it? Thanks

Hi Deedee,

Its an 8-blade German-made Browning with carbon steel blades. Old fashioned can opener. I'm assuming the rod is some sort of sharpener, but if anyone has a better suggestion I'm open to it.

I picked it up off of ebay for a very decent 'buy-it-now' price. Bid on several in the past but always lost out.

Thanks all!

Robert, if you're interested the one with the mountains is the Bernese Oberland, with the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. Basically the monk is protecting the young woman from the ogre.

... and this Camper.  And one of those China/fake SAKs that somehow end up everywhere... I mean really, they must have made a billion of those things.    I got excited when my mom told me the other day that she had found one of my childhood SAKs but it turned out to another one of those damn things!   Told her it wasn't the one I hope she'd found (an older Adventurer) but it's the thought that counts. :D

Will be my first NIB economy model.  :tu:

Man those crappy China fakes sure does bring back some memories. I had one or two just like those back in the mid 80's, bought it at the local drugstore with my (slim) weekly allowance round about the time when Macgyver was first aired  :D  those where my very first "sak's", only got my first real Vic a couple of years later.  :ahhh
They are probably still around, somewhere at my folk's place. Have to look for them sometime

Thank you.  It just looks quite different than my other horn handled knives.  I saw a photo of bone handles and it seemed like a closer match to this one.

Very nice acquisition!  It looks like a horn material.  I have seen photos of bone scales that somewhat resemble this but I think the color variation points to horn scales. That's just my guess.

Thank you NorCal.
Well I do hope it is horn as I was trying to get a little subset collection of horn knives, maybe one in each size.  I have 84mm, 74mm, 58mm and then this slender one which is probably 84mm, but different looking enough which is why I bought it.  Plus I just loved the looks of it, horn or not.
