So, that Pioneer  I had coming turned out to be a farmer.  It was just labeled "Aluminum handle Swiss Army Knife"    I don't know how to feel about this.   Never even considered having a farmer in the collection...

Farmers need love too :)

In all seriousness it does look like a really great addition to any collection

 :like:

For sure, it's pretty rad and all, was just hoping for an OC Pioneer b/c I don't have one.

:sa:  Uh oh......now you've done it. Didn't anyone warn you that Soldiers and Pioneers are the "gateway" ALOX that leads to the hard stuff....stuff with SAWS!!!!!!!!!!!   :dwts:

:ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

 :D

oh crap, I better get rid of it before I grow attached and go on a real bender
Too late for that now... Feel the power of the dark side...

Nah, I think I'm gonna stick to my Soldier guns and sell it and keep hunting for another Soldier.  I want a red one real bad    Mad respect to the saw, don't get me wrong, it's a mental organizational thing for me.  I like the Soldiers/Pioneers because that's what the Soldiers carried, making them actual Swiss Army Knives... that's the allure for me.  I got PLENTY of cellidor SAKs to choose from if I want to go toolsy style.   Though I do acknowledge their coolness, I'm not really in to Cadets either and their infinite overpriced special editions, limited runs and colors.  I'd rather carry El Sportsman with nylon scales any day of the week.  Just one corkscrew's thoughts of course.   :D

So Gander Mountain was having a store closeout sale and I snagged a few SAKs. Got a Tinker and a Hunter XT (with pouch) and a Swisstech tool too.

I'm really excited to carry a Tinker again since it was my first SAK and I can use tgis one without fear of anything unlike my other Tinker, which has alot of memories tied to my Grandparents with it.

I'm going to carry both for a while and see how I do scissor-less. I will try to get some pictures up too.

Snagged a Scientist on eBay today. Another discontinued magnifier-model I can cross off my list!

The Scientist goes quite well with the Pioneer-X I'm told, especially damascus.  😳  The other pocket maybe?

I like the thought of that  8)

Picked up a Trekker today. Had to give the one handed version a go.

The one handed blades are a joy to use.

After my first experience with a OHO blade I picked up a Soldier 08 and a DAK2010 after that.

My first OHO I bought at a market and turned out to be a CRK Small Sebenza replica  :-\
I can highly recommend the Sebenza by the way. It's an amazingly usefull knife and makes a great secondary carry to a SAK.

I have several OHO knives, but not any multi-tools or SAK OHOs. I'm liking it, and will definitely bring it camping!

Awesome score!  Dunno if you saw above, but I thought I was getting a Pioneer but ended up with a Farmer - it's currently back on the market, I don't want to open that can of worms yet.  :D

:like:  Great score!  I think that one might be old enough to be an Executive, not a Companion (kinda weird that it and the 74mm Executive were called opposite names in the 1960s).  I have a red one, never seen that color of Alox before.

Just purchased two more Explorers.  I'm not sure how many I have at this point but estimate 14.  I know they are my favorite and I have trouble resisting some purchases but 14 should be enough.

One of the purchases is NOS with white scales and the other will probably get a scale change, maybe camo.  I will skip the inbound photo and take some later.

I'm down to one now and feeling like I should probably get another.  :ahhh

Slimmed down and sold a couple of Explorers to make room for some soldiers on the way.  Now I gotta check them out to determine which ones. I'm gonna keep... I find I'm partial to hollow rivets.
