Please don't tell ;(. There's only a few SAKs I collect.

Yep I was wrong. It was worth a guess, lol.

He certainly is.   :salute:
Well thanks guys and girl! :) Didn't expect to see those comments in this thread! This place has given me a lot (like the phenomenon of craving for pointy things) and I like to try and give back a bit. That Spartan giveaway was a good bit of fun, and someone got a new toy to play with. And if it starts another one down the dark, wallet emptying world of SAKs, so much the better  :) .
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D

Karma is a curious thing Tom, when you take care of people the way you have, it comes back with glorious praise.  I never really single folks out because I trade with so many people, but you and Sawman have got to be the most generous guys I've had the pleasure of trading with on the internet.  I wish we lived closer together so we could grab a beer!!  I don't have any members here close to me, I keep trying to sign up my friends but they think I am a little off for being so obsessed with MT's.   :D

Thanks to Steve for texting me a link this arrived in the mail today. It is a re-swiss. Its a classic that is refinished with custom-made, laser-cut handles made from a tough acrylic compound. No tweezers or toothpick though.  Thanks again Steve. You are a good friend and I really like this little guy.

I was watching all of those from that seller as they ended as well.
Way more than some were actually worth in my opinion.
But that's eBay for you.
Glad I paid no where near that for the newer Blue versions when I got mine.

Some of the final totals are below for anyone who was curious.
Always sad to see someone selling an entire collection of 15+ years.

Red Pioneer 85' Stamp - $351
Red Firstmate No Keyring - $260
Red Midshipman - $355
Blue Midshipman - $202
Blue Firstmate - $152.50
Blue Sea Pioneer - $152.50
Yellow/Black Solo Electrician - $157.55

I really wanted the Red Midshipman but that was just too high.

It's not a good time to start collecting Alox like some people I know.

Wow those saks brought some serious coin ! I am all smiles over the $6.98 Spartan that I hooked on the bay. It showed up yesterday  :mail:  and is in even better shape than I thought it was . I also have an older Tinker small that is on it's way to me.
I am really getting into the more basic saks here lately. Wonder how long that will last?

Does this Dragon Climber have serial numbers on the liner like I have seen on other Chinese "yearly limited editions?
...
No serial numbers on this one, I don't think it is an official "Year of the Dragon" sak, just a Dragon SAK for another purpose, I'll check more into that though.

I really wanted the "Red Pioneer 85' Stamp - $351", but the bidding just went a little insane and since I already have the same knife without the "85", I could not justify it for my collection.

Me too, I also have a NIB with no year stamp. I didn't think an 85' could go that high.

You did ok considering the situation.  :salute:
The one you wanted could have gone even higher.  :ahhh
If it were not for the other U.S buyer (mardukreborn 114) we all would have got something much cheaper for sure.
