Great toys, everyone!

 :tu: :tu:

Love the viking statues, the old boys and the Spartan. You should definitely carry it, Boonies. Ribbed corkscrew, clip point small blade, bail, beveled openers...

HELMSMAN
I have had the SKIPPER for years. This doesn't  have the mini pliers, which are useful for small rope and paracord work. But I like the phillips instead  of the corkscrew.

RECRUIT
Have an old Recruit which I sterilized and put in my portable 1st Aid kit, but just bought another for the pocket. Great lightweight knife but more than a manicure set and letter opener. Dads often buy a SAK for sons and daughters when conscription day comes. (MUTS or SURGES might come later if you make it into the armoured corps or a front-line combat or engineer battalion.)

You have a point....as big a Space Race nut as I am, I never put Laika together with that knife!

Found this Spartan Lite today at a flea market :
Worn scales, slightly bent corkscrew, missing tweezers and dead batteries... but the good thing is buying new batteries will cost me more than that SAK did!

Yes, that's what I said ;-)
These are a little above 2€ a piece here, and getting two of them will already cost me more than the SAK did ^^

Sounds like you got a great deal on the Spartan Light. 2 batteries huh?. I just had to get the one for the altimeter.... But went ahead and bought a few because they were A few dollars less than the Energizers around the same size.

I think it was Poncho65 that had the Camping logo ranger and the photos showed a shiny, gleaming and very desirable SAK.  I decided that I needed to have one just as nice so I kept passing on the various specimens that I found until this new in box find.  I am delighted with this purchase!
